What do you say?

I am usually not one stumped on what to say on anything. I am a guy right? I have to be able to have an answer for everything. Well today I found myself in that situation.

Remember Joseph? Well I have not seeen him in a couple weeks so today at church I ask him where he had been. He said he had been in a town about 10 miles away from us. So natuarally I said what was you doing there. I watched his eyes start to tear up and he said my younger brother died a couple days ago. My mouth just kinda dropped and I said how? He said that he had been bit by a dog about a month ago and they took him to the doctor for injections. Well about a week ago he got sick again. The dog bot him on the knee. They took him to the nearest hospital and the next day he was dead. From what I could make out of it, it got infected and killed him. So I just sat there with him telling him I was so sorry. The kid that I usually sit and joke with with now had a major issue in his life. I started telling him that life is short and that Knowing Christ and being known by Christ is the most important thing we have in this life. Because of this there is a hope of life after death. Beyond this I really did not know what to say.
Please pray for Joseph in this time , this could be a huge oppertunity with him during this situation.

Wow. That is horrible, but we know that God will use this to further His kingdom.
We will keep you and your ministry to Joseph in prayer.

How sad! I will be praying for Joseph and his family and for you as you minister to him during this time.

Yes, it is difficult.. sometimes we have found in our ministry when we are at a loss for words... just holding their hands and crying with them is all they need....He knows you love him. We will pray for Joseph and his family and you as you minister... God bless you...
