Mondays with Melelo
I have started to meet with a young friend of mine on Mondays for discipleship. She is such a sweet girl and loves to hang out around our station during the week after school. She goes to play with Tanya (missionary girl about her age) next store or comes here to visit or braid Summers hair. I have seen in her lately a real desire to follow Christ. So I offered to met with her one on one each week to go over the doctrine of Salvation with her. We met for the first time this past Monday and it went real well. We read about Adam and Eve and how they sinned against God. She knew quite a bit about it from being in church. I will continue next week with our sinful state and how we need a Savior. Please pray for Melelo that God would call her to Himself and save her for His glory. Oh what a joy that would be!!!

I love this blog.
It is wonderful to know better how to be praying for you all.
Hugs!!
I love Melelo. She is one of those girls that you know God has something very special reserved for.
I will praying for you and Melelo on Mondays.
It sounds like a book that will be made into a movie.
"Mondays with Melelo and Me"
or
"Me and Melelo and the day we call Monday"
or
"Melelo, Mondays and Missionary Me"
OK, I'm done now.
I've enjoyed these 3 new posts, La. I really like getting a glimpse into your routine of ministry and daily life. It helps me to pray more specifically for you all.
All the 'stuff' is in Larry's possession. Now we'll have to see how much can go now and what may have to go in August with Jim or I'll ship it. Larry's gonna try his best to get it all in. Clarence has packed the footlocker, so we'll see.
I pray you are both feeling better. It's rough being run down like that.
Love y'all.
Love that picture of Summer. Man that girls hair is cute!
Laura,
Thanks for the nice Fathers Day note on Sunday. Like I said to Missy you both give me to much credit. This blog thing is catching on with me. It is good to be able to get updates like this. Concerning your friend Melelo that is just like you sharing your faith, winning someone to the Lord. I remember you bringing home girls from Pope HS. I remembering you saying "Dad, this is my friend, she came home with me today and we are looking at some things in the Bible". What a great memory.
Love Dad.
Love the new pix up! That Summer! She can just fold in half! Why not slip her in an envelope and mail her home to me and Pappy for a few weeks? ;)
I'm glad you're blogging! Now that we're back online, I'll be a regular reader (and pray-er) here. :-)
Laura, this is Pat. I will make sure that Kat gets this info. We loved Melelo (Kathi especially!!). She always has that bright smile & demeanor. What an awesome gift. We will be praying for you and for Travis with his guys. Y'all are an inspiration to us. Oh and guess what? We are already looking into our tickets for next year. How time flies. Woo Hoo!!! Cya
Hey Laura,
I am so thankful to hear of the opportunity God is giving you with Melelo!! I pray God will open her heart and draw her to Him. I also pray HE will protect Melelo from what lies ahead for her. I love her happy disposition and pray I get to see her next year (can't wait:)!!) in that same frame but maybe as a sister in the Lord!! Stay faithful my sister!!
To God Be the Glory--Kathi
