Wednesday already...

It's only the middle of the week and it feels like we have already done a weeks worth of work. For the past few days Travis and I have been sick with bad colds which have slowed us down a bit. But I'm sure we will get past it soon and regain our strength.

Church went well Sunday. I will start off by saying that I find so much joy in seeing happy little faces from children as I approach our church on my 4-wheeler. Sometimes as I get closer the kids are jumping up and down with excitement. It warms my heart to see they want to be a church. So Sunday school went well. At first I was a bit down because I didn't have a translator from Swahili to Masai so I figured the little ones that don't know Swahili were not able to understand. But I just trusted it to God's hands. To make a long story short as I reviewed the lesson with the kids in Children's church it turns out they heard more than I though. Praise the Lord! Isn't it good to know that God is in control of all things and not us!

Travis helps lead worship along with Jon and Almi Johnson, our fellow missionaries, and has really been enjoying it. It seems that people have been coming early to church because they enjoy the music so much. We have been so encouraged by this and pray it continues. Please pray for our church that people would be faithful to come each week and desire to hear God's Word and apply it to thier lives.

I can so picture what you are saying. I am so thankful that I got to come last summer and have a very clear mental image of what you say.
I can see the kids chasing the tokee tokee.
What is that word for careful?

I hope you and Travis are feeling lots better today. I'm sorry you've felt poopy. If I was there I would make you chicken casserole and applesauce :)

But she would make it the 'nonsacred' way, I'm sure.

If I were there I'd play the a worship channel cd and let you rest your head on my lap while I stroke your hair. And I'd bring chocolate and Mountain Dew in a bottle.

I'd bring you Mt dew in a can because we all know it is better that way.
Then I'd bake you a homemade cake. :)

Oh yea... well I'd bring Wilbur Buds, Nonparels, smoked and freshed sausage, ring bologna and lots of Twizzlers. We'd wash it all down with a Mocha Frappachino Light from Starbucks and then watch Anne of Green Gables and Gone With the Wind.

Missy dear, you are invited to join us if you like. You can buy the tickets:)
