Things are going well here. Church went real well yesterday. It was good to see some folks there that have not come in a while. Travis taught his Sunday school class in Swahili for the second time!! Yea! He is going through the book of Ephesians with them. I am back into the groove of teaching the children's Sunday school again. Since our last Swahili class I feel like I am able to teach better without be dependent on my notes so much. That is an answer to prayer.
Sarah is still enjoying school and was happy to have finished her first book in school! Her Swahili is coming along too. She really wants to be able to talk to her friends here. Summer continues to make us laugh. She says the funnest things. She is also really into Pooh Bear and said she would like to go to his house when we are in America next time. (By the way, she thinks America is the moon!) Savannah is almost one year old! She is climbing on everything and likes to say "DI" when you come in or out of the house. She also is very close to saying "dad", which I don't think is very fair.
I have been helping with the adult reading class that Tari started. Almi and I will be doing it together while Tari is gone. I love it so much. These ladies, and one man, are so excited and ready to learn. I feel blessed to be a part of it.

Travis, Laura and girls. Life for us has been very busy lately. We have moved to VA the last of August and since then we have all been sick with sinus infections to stomach viruses.. It has been bad!! Kamdan was on 4 antibotics, Randan had to have 2, Sawyer had 1 I had 4, Dennis and Brynnan only had 1 each. We are hopefully now better and we pray we stay that way. I think the changes in humidity and the new pollens are what caused it all. We miss the beach, but are enjoying the mountain views once again.
It is amazing how those girls are growing. Sawyer weighs 26lbs he is going to be a big guy. Savannah and Sawyer favor one another so much it's amazing. Sara and Summer are so beautiful I can't wait to see you all. Pray for us as we look for a new church here in VA and that God would send me a friend or two.I left a lot of great friends behind at the beach and I miss them all.
Financial crisis in America is bad, but I feel "WE" as in "AMERICA" got way to big for our britches and forgot the important things that God has given us. Our children today "EXPECT" to have the best of everything from the stores and we as parents also "EXPECT" to give it to them. Things really need to change in the way we think. We need to get back to thinking "What would Jesus do?" then try our best to live it. God is in control, he knows how to get attention, he wants everyone to pray more and trust him for all our needs.
I wanted to say hi! We love you all bunches! Take care, kiss those babies and God bless each and every day that you live in. Your lives are an example of sacrifice unto the Father and it touches my heart each time I read the news letter or see a picture. God bless
- Love Oanya
I'm so proud of you guys and your Swahili!
I would also now like you to teach Savannah to see My Favorite Aunt Missy.
So great to hear things are going so well. The girls are getting so big! God bless you all.
