The past week

Last week I shared that Travis was not feeling well and soon after that it seemed that he started to get worse. So Friday morning we went to see a nearby doctor. We all got checked and Travis had an ear infection plus a sinus infection. So he was put on a antibiotic. I was coming out of a sinus infection plus an ear infection and had been on an antibiotic but the doctor put me on another one to finish clearing it up. Sarah and Summer were also put on antibiotics to clear up what they had. And praise the Lord our little Savannah has been quite fine. So over the weekend Travis was feeling very poorly and we were unable to have the youth night or even attend church. Thankfully the meds worked and we are all starting to feel much better.
This time of year here in Kenya is hard on people. It is the "winter" season and people begin to get sick. A lot of children come down with colds and then it turns to pneumonia. Our friend Melelo has been sick this past week and unable to attend school. Seph, the 2 year old son of a my good friend Njeri, has been very sick. Thankfully he seems to be getting better now, but has been very sick. The medical service here in Sekeneni is not very good. There are many clinics in town but it seems that they just give out meds without really knowing or even checking to see what is causing the sickness. It is hard on the people here.
Please pray for our friends here as many of them are sick or have sick family members. We have quite a few pregnant mamas too that need lots of pray right now.

I am so glad that you all got over your sickness, I was worried for a while. Things are back to the normal now. Our seasons are totally different, I do remember it was snowing in Atlanta when I left for Africa and snowed when I returned. So when will you build a snowman?
